Frederick Hooker letters, 1864.

Letters to his mother and wife in Farmington, Connecticut, mostly from Fort Trumbull, Connecticut and Fort Elsworth, Virginia, from a soldier in the 2nd Regiment, Connecticut Volunteer Artillery. Also includes a fragment of a letter from a soldier in either the 5th or 20th Regiment of Connecticut Volunteers after the battle of Peach Tree Creek, Georgia in July 1864.
